Babe has entertained audiences in Manhattan, Boston, Key West, St. Thomas and Mykonos with her signature mix of standards, jazz, soulful ballads and high energy performance of Broadway and classic rock. Kathy Robinson aka “Babe” took the reigns at Dino’s Backstage last night. Michael Richard Kelly-Cataldi was scheduled but was under the weather. Babe jumped in last minute and threw together a fabulous show with the Grant MacAvoy trio. That’s the diference between a singer and a true performer. A packed house in The Celebrity Room and all of our guests raved and left happy. Thank you Babe and the GMT for another fabulous evening at Dino’s Backstage.

All of the seats were taken except three closest to the singer, Kathy “Babe” Robinson who goes by Babe. She was performing a mixture of songs from Abba, to old school soul and also taking recommendations from the audience. Luckily, her pianist knew quite a few songs without sheet music! Overall, she was a great singer and cracked some jokes here and there, but her song choices fit with the crowd and atmosphere of the night.”
“As we just arrived to Mykonos Island, two friends and I were searching out a “chill” place to have a few drinks our first night there. So off we went roaming through the streets of the downtown area and that is where came across Montparnasse/The Piano Bar. The bar seemed lively enough, and as we started walking towards the live music I noticed the gay friendly atmosphere.”

“… the stars of the show are most definitely Kathy “Babe” Robinson and Mark Harman. Mark plays the piano (and sometimes sings), and Kathy sings… it makes for a great night. Both Mark and Kathy’s repertoires are astonishingly wide-ranging (Mark used to play on Broadway), and they take requests. We’ve thrown countless musicals, Bette Midler, Shirley Bassey and Disney at them, and they’ve performed them all with aplomb.”
